AUTHORIZE RFP: PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES TO ASSIST IN\nMANAGING THE IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAMS CONTAINED IN THE 2021-2029\nHOUSING ELEMENT – F2M24-27, RPF2M24-4\nA required component of a jurisdiction’s Housing Element is a Housing Plan that must\noutline goals, programs, and policies to facilitate and encourage the development of\nhousing in their community. Alhambra’s Housing Plan contains an Implementation\nProgram with thirty separate programs needing to be developed, monitored and tracked.\nIn anticipation of the State certifying Alhambra’s Housing Element, staff is seeking to solicit\nproposals for a qualified firm to provide professional consulting services to assist the\nPlanning Division in the oversight of the Housing Element to ensure that the Housing\nElement programs are completed and within the timeframes identified.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the distribution of a Request for\nProposals for professional consulting services to assist in managing the programs\ncontained in the 2021-2029 Housing Element.
