11. NOTICE INVITING BIDS: REHABLITATION OF THE STORM DRAIN PIPES ON\nCOMMONWEALTH AVENUE AND GRAND AVENUE – F2M24-28, N2M24-29\nThe storm drains located at the intersection of Commonwealth and Marguerita Avenues\nand at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 2nd Street are broken and collapsed causing\na sinkhole. The storm drains need to be repaired to handle normal water flow before\nflooding occurs and further damage ensues to the street. Plans and specifications have\nbeen prepared. Staff has reviewed the plans and found them to be consistent with City’s\nstandards.\n5\n2-26-24\nRecommended Action: City Council approve the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nto qualified contractors for the Rehabilitation of the Storm Drain pipes on Commonwealth\nAvenue and Grand Avenue with bids due no later than 10:30 a.m. on March 21, 2024, and\nopened at 11:00 a.m. that same day.
