LOS ANGELES COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT: EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE\nINFORMATIONAL UPDATE – F2M24-16\nThe Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is the nation’s largest community\ncollege district serving over 200,000 students. The district strives to deliver accessible,\nquality education and career opportunities to the students of Los Angeles County. One\ngoal of the LACCD is to update cities about the many educational programs and services\navailable to their constituents. Residents in Alhambra are served by East Los Angeles\nCollege (ELAC), which offers university transfer and career education. Dr. Alberto Román,\nELAC's president, will give a presentation regarding ELAC and the latest information\nLACCD has to offer.\nRecommended Action: City Council receive and file this informational report.
