16. AWARD OF CONTRACT TO LEXISNEXIS – F2M24-29, C2M24-12, M2M24-33\nLexisNexis Desk Officer Reporting System (DORS) is a controlled-access online reporting\nsystem which community members can use to file reports, provide crime tips, and report\nother incidents 24/7. It is a useful resource tool for handling a variety of incidents without\n7\n2-26-24\nthe need for an officer on scene. Accurint Crime Analysis is another product from\nLexisNexis which is an online dashboard that enables crime data sharing, crime mapping\nand crime analytics. Both products directly interface with the Police Department’s Record\nManagement System. LexisNexis is the sole source for DORS licenses, ongoing support\nand maintenance service. Sole source purchase is allowable under Alhambra Municipal\nCode Section 3.36.080(B)(2). Staff is requesting a five-year contract with an amount not\nto exceed $77,437.77.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to LexisNexis in the amount up to\n$77,437.77 for Desk Officer Reporting System (DORS) and Accurint Crime Analysis for a\nfive-year period; authorize the City Manager to execute any additional documentation to\nextend the contract subject to satisfactory firm performance and future budget allocations;\nand, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
