36. Community Based Organizations Providing Services for Youth in\nProbation and Community Settings Retroactive Contract Amendments\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Arts and Culture to execute eight\nretroactive contract amendments to increase the maximum amount payable\nunder the terms of the contract with the Center for the Empowerment of\nFamilies, Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory (three contracts), African Soul\nInternational, Arts for Healing and Justice Network, Spirit Awakening\nFoundation, and Homeboy Industries; there will be no impact to Net County\nCost, contracts are funded through the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act\nand the Juvenile Justice Realignment Block Grant administered by the\nProbation Department, approval of the recommended action will increase the\nmaximum sum payable across all impacted contracts not to exceed $3,000,000,\nsufficient appropriation for all contracted services is included in the Department\nof Arts and Culture’s Fiscal Year 2023-24 final adopted budget ; and find that the\ncontracts are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.\n(Department of Arts and Culture) APPROVE (24-0674)
