Proclaiming February 2024 as “Heart Health Month” in Los Angeles\nCounty\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Mitchell and Horvath: Declare\nthe month of February 2024 as “Heart Health Month” throughout Los Angeles\nCounty; recognize the Department of Public Health, American Heart\nAssociation, and more than 100 partners, for reaching their 2023 Heart Heroes\nCampaign goal to train at least 500,000 County residents and workers in\nhands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); and encourage all County\nresidents to learn hands-only CPR, and invite County Departments, businesses,\neducational partners, and other community partners, to get involved in this\ncritical effort to promote this life saving skill.
