Atlantic Avenue Acquisition and Planning Project Grant Applications\nRecommendation: Adopt resolutions necessary to complete the submission\nprocess for three grant applications to the State of California Department of\nParks and Recreation Outdoor Equity Grants Program for the Healthy Mind,\nBody and Environment Programs at Ruben F. Salazar Park, Earvin “Magic”\nJohnson Recreation Area, and Stephen Sorensen Park from the State of\nCalifornia Department of Parks and Recreation Outdoor Equity Grants\nProgram, in the amount of $698,242 for each park and for the submission\nprocess for a grant application for the Atlantic Avenue Acquisition and Planning\nProject, in the amount of $2,300,000 to the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles\nRivers and Mountains Conservancy Proposition 1, Water Quality, Supply and\nInfrastructure Improvement Act of 2014, Lower Los Angeles River Grant\nProgram (1, 2, 4 and 5); authorize the Director of Parks and Recreation to act\nas an agent of the County to accept grant funds, conduct all negotiations and\nexecute and submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications,\ncontracts, agreements, deed restrictions, amendments, and payment requests,\nwhich may be necessary for the completion of the grants; and find that the\nproposed actions are not a project under the California Environmental Quality\nAct.
