58. Palmdale Boulevard and 40th Street East and 10th Street West\nImprovement Project Cooperative Agreements\nRecommendation: Approve the road improvement project on Palmdale\nBoulevard and 40th Street East and the road improvement project on 10th Street\nWest (Projects), and instruct the Chair to sign cooperative agreements between\nthe City of Palmdale (City) (5) and the County, for financing and delegation of\nresponsibilities for the design and construction of the Projects; find that the\nProjects are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act; and\nauthorize the Director of Public Works to take the following actions:\n(Department of Public Works) APPROVE\nApprove up to 10% of the County’s estimated jurisdictional share equal to\n$130,000 for any costs of unforeseen expenses that may occur, thereby\nincreasing the maximum County contribution from $1,300,000 to\n$1,430,000 for the road improvement project on Palmdale Boulevard and\n40th Street East;\nApprove up to 10% of the County’s estimated jurisdictional share equal to\n$85,000 for any costs of unforeseen expenses that may occur, thereby\nincreasing the maximum County contribution from $850,000 to $935,000\nfor the road improvement project on 10th Street West; and\nExecute amendments and modifications of a nonmaterial nature to the\ncooperative agreements to incorporate necessary nonmaterial\nprogrammatic and administrative changes.
