Joint Powers Agreement with the Los Angeles Unified School District for\nContinued Use of Walnut Nature Park\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Hahn: Authorize the Director of\nParks and Recreation to negotiate and execute a Joint Powers Agreement with\nthe Los Angeles Unified School District for the Department of Parks and\nRecreations’ continued use of Walnut Nature Park, for a period of up to 10\nyears, as needed, with a five-year extension option, and take all further actions\nnecessary and appropriate to implement the terms and conditions of the\nagreement; negotiate and execute any other ancillary documentation or\namendments to renew or extend the terms and conditions of the agreement; and\nfind that the agreement is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act\n(CEQA) and is not a project under CEQA.
