Item No. 19. 2023-0248 CONSIDERATION OF PURSUING THE NEXT STEPS TO ESTABLISH A SISTER CITY AFFILIATION WITH AWKA, NIGERIA (CITY COUNCIL). Recommendation: TAKE the following actions: 1. DIRECT staff to meet with the Carson Sister Cities Association's (CSCA) Nigeria subcommittee to appraise the benefits of creating a sister city relationship. This partnership should be strategic and mutually beneficial. 2. DIRECT staff to draft a formal letter that will be sent to Awka, Nigeria to establish a direct line of communication. 1.
