CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 24-134,\nAPPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICIATIONS AND AWARDING\nCONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO PRO FLOORING CORPORATION\nFOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER BASKETBALL GYM FLOORING\nIMPROVEMENTS PROJECT\nOn January 10, 2024, the Engineering Department solicited bids for the\nCommunity Center Basketball Gym Flooring Improvements Project. The\nbid opening date was February 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The scope of work\nincludes but not limited to the removal and disposal of existing flooring and\ninstallation of new basketball gym multi-use resilient wood flooring. The\nlowest responsive bid was submitted by Pro Flooring Corporation in the\namount of $128,320.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Review the bids and find that Pro Flooring Corporation has submitted\nthe lowest responsive bid;\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 24-134, approving plans and specifications for\nthe Community Center Basketball Gym Flooring Improvements Project\nand awarding a contract to Pro Flooring Corporation in the amount of\n$128,320;\n3. Approve a 15% contingency amount of $19,248 for a total project\nconstruction budget amount not to exceed $147,568; and\n4. Authorize the City Manager or designee to negotiate and execute the\nagreement.
