CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION 24-131,\nENTERING INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA\nDEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CalTrans) FOR THE MERCED\nAVENUE GREENWAY PROJECT\nThe Merced Avenue Greenway is currently under construction to help\nmaximize the City's opportunities to clean and capture stormwater, reduce\ngreenhouse gas emissions and urban heat island effect, and provide safe\nactive transit connections to local parks, schools, and river connections.\nThe project is currently in the design phase and is anticipated to go out to\nbid for construction in January 2025.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 24-131,entering into the 2023 CalTrans Clean\nCalifornia Local Grant Agreement; and\n2.
