CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 24-130,\nAUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE\nFROM DAVEY COACH\nThe City of South El Monte was awarded a grant from the Federal Transit\nAdministrative (“FTA”) Section 5310 Program – Enhanced Mobility of\nSeniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program. The FTA Section 5310\nprogram aims to improve mobility for seniors and individuals with\ndisabilities by removing barriers to transportation service and expanding\ntransportation mobility options. Funds were allocated in the FTA grant to\npurchase an aging transportation vehicle.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Approve Resolution No. 24-130, approving the purchase of a Class C\n- Ford E450 Terra Transit Bus from Davey Coach Sales; and\n2. Authorize City Manager to negotiate and execute all requisite\ndocuments for the purchase.
