4. Consideration and possible action to support the Taxpayer Protection and Government Accountability Act. (Hunter) (30 mins) Recommendation: 1) Review the Taxpayer Protection and Government Accountability Act language, that qualified as a 2024 state ballot measure, to determine if the City Council should take a position of support. 2) If deemed acceptable, adopt Resolution No. 2023-__ supporting the Taxpayer Protection and Government Accountability Act; and, 3) Authorize the Mayor to sign addressed to the Governor, other elected officials, and stakeholders regarding government financial transparency.
