B. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTIONS CALLING FOR THE 2024 GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION, ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR CANDIDATE STATEMENTS, AND APPROVAL OF ELECTION RELATED SERVICES In preparation for the March 5, 2024 General Municipal Election, the City Council is requested to adopt the proposed resolutions to allow staff to proceed with conducting the election. Recommendation: 1. Adopt Resolution No. 23-5703 (Attachment “A”) calling the General Municipal Election for March 5, 2024; 2. Adopt Resolution No. 23-5704 (Attachment “B”) requesting Board of Supervisor of the County of Los Angeles to consolidate City’s General Municipal election to be held on the same date with the Statewide General Election; and 3. Adopt Resolution No. 23-5705 (Attachment “C”) establishing regulations for candidates pertaining to candidate statements submitted to the voters at an election to be held on March 5, 2024.
