Agreement with Sequel Contractors, Inc., to construct the Firestone Boulevard Regional\nCorridor Capacity Enhancements, Alameda Street to Annetta Avenue, Phase II, City Project\nNo. 476-TRF\nThe City Council will consider: (PW)\na. Approving an Agreement with Sequel Contractors, Inc., to construct the Firestone Boulevard\nRegional Corridor Capacity Enhancements, Alameda Street to Annetta Avenue, Phase II, City\nProject No. 476-TRF, in an amount not-to-exceed $3,117,454;\nb. Authorizing the City Manager to approve change orders administratively up to a cumulative\namount of $320,000, to avoid delaying construction if change order work is needed;\nc. Appropriating $1,500,000 in Measure R Local Return Funds to construct roadway\nimprovements to address roadway issues and safety concerns adjacent to South Gate Middle\nSchool, South Gate High School, and East Los Angeles Community College;\nd. Authorizing the City Manager to approve pre-payments of construction progress payments for\nthe construction contract to meet compliance with state legislation that requires payments within\n30 days;\ne. Approving the Notice of Exemption for the construction of the Firestone Boulevard Regional\nCorridor Capacity Enhancements, City Project No. 476-TRF, and directing the City Clerk to file it\nwith the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder's Office;\nf. Approving the Notice of Exemption under Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations, Section\n15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") for the construction of the of\nBoulevard Project and directing the City Clerk to file it with the Los Angeles County Recorder's\nOffice; and\ng.
