12. Expansion of Services to Immigrant Populations Memorandum of\nUnderstanding\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Consumer and Business Affairs to\nexecute a memorandum of understanding with the City of Los Angeles to\nsupport the development or expansion of immigrant integration efforts, increase\ncommunity trust, and enhance the organizational capacity of local governments\nto support immigrant populations in California; execute agreements with\ncommunity-based organizations to expand services to the immigrant\ncommunities in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Governor’s\nOffice of Business and Economic Development International Affairs and Trade\nLocal Immigrant Integration and Inclusion Grant; and apply for future grants,\nand/or accept up to $3,000,000 per award, through Fiscal Year 2026-27, and\nexecute grant funding agreements for the purpose of serving the immigrant\npopulations by providing the Board advanced notification before acceptance of\neach grant.
