RESOLUTION NO.      - First Amendment to Contract DA-5674 with Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus LLC:  To increase the contract authority by $705,000, for new total not to exceed $1,410,000, covering additional rental of one 3,000-gallon Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting vehicle for use at Los Angeles International Airport and one 1,500-gallon Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting vehicle for use at Van Nuys Airport \nPURPOSE: The proposed action will increase the authority of Contract DA-5674 with Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus LLC to rent two additional Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicles to comply with California Senate Bill 1044 and Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 139, in order to (a) continue operating while ARFF vehicles are being rotated out of service for cleaning and remediation and (b) ensure that regulatory and safety requirements are met. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; approve the First Amendment to Contract DA-5674 with Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus LLC; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said First Amendment after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
