13. DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES - LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 16-18, 2024 (LONG BEACH) In order to vote at the Annual Business Meeting, the City Council must designate a voting delegate and up to two alternate voting delegates, one of whom may vote in the event that the designated voting delegate is unable to serve in that capacity. Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council designate the following: o Voting Delegate: Council Member Rebecca "Beckie" Gomez o Alternate: Council Member Ray Schnell Fiscal Impact: The voting delegate and alternate are required to be registered to attend the conference and be present in order to cast a vote; therefore, the fiscal impact is limited to the cost of the conference registration.
