11. RESOLUTION NO. ____________ - REJECTION OF ALL BIDS. HARBOR\nADMINISTRATION BUILDING BOARD HEARING ROOM AND EXECUTIVE SESSION\nROOM REMODEL. SPECIFICATION NO. 2834\nSummary: Staff recommends that all bids for the Harbor Administration Building Board Hearing\nRoom and Executive Session Room Remodel, Specification No. 2834 be rejected due to their\nnon-compliance with Small Business/Very Small Business Enterprises participation\nrequirements, and that the Project be re-advertised as it is in the best interest of the City of Los\nAngeles Harbor Department to do so to ensure the most competitive bids and lowest cost to the\nHarbor Department. The Project will replace all audio and visual equipment in the Board Hearing\nRoom; modify the stage area, improve lighting and seating, and modify access to the stage.\nImprovements will also be made to the Executive Session Room, and adjoining kitchenette and\nrestroom.\nRecommendation: Board resolve to (1) find that the Director of Environmental Management has\ndetermined that the proposed action is administratively exempt from the requirements of the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under Article II, Section 2(f), of the Los Angeles\nCity CEQA Guidelines; (2) reject all bids for Specification No. 2834 and authorize the Executive\nDirector to re-advertise the Project; and (3) adopt Resolution No. ___________.\nSPECIAL MEETING AGENDA\nFRIDAY, MARCH 15, 2024 AT 10:00 AM
