2.O. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF WORLD DOG DAY 2024 [Y. QUARKER,\nC. SMITH, M. REATH, B. SMITH]:\nThe City Council will consider co-sponsoring the World Dog Day\nEvent to be hosted by The Vanderpump Dog Foundation on\nSaturday, May 11, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in West\nHollywood Park.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Authorize the co-sponsorship of World\nDog Day on Saturday, May 11, 2024, and approve the use of the\nGreat Lawn Area, Promenade Area, Robertson Commons Area,\nand Robertson Picnic Area of West Hollywood Park on May 10,\n2024, for set up, and May 11, 2024, for the event; 2) Approve a Co-\nSponsorship Agreement with The Vanderpump Dog Foundation for\nWorld Dog Day 2024; 3) Authorize the City Manager to execute\ndocuments incident to the Agreement; 4) Authorize the City\nManager to negotiate additional requests; 5) Authorize the use of\nthe City name and logo on invitations, programs, and other\ncollateral materials; 6) Authorize the use of 75 parking spaces in\nthe 5-story Parking Structure on May 11th for event volunteers and\nvendors. With the potential loss of revenue in the amount of $900;\n7) Authorize the use of 9 parking spaces located at the San Vicente\nOn Street Pay Station on May 10th and 11th for vendor load-in and\nload-out. With the potential loss of revenue in the amount of $432;\n8) Waive fees for Building and Safety Permits, Film Permits, Major\nEvent Park Space Use, and Special Event Permits (approximately\n$7,945); and 9) Direct the Communications Department to utilize all\nappropriate communications tools to promote the event such as the\nCity's website and social media tools.\nSTAFF REPORT
