59. Project Legal Enrichment and Decision-Making Program Agreements\nRecommendation: Authorize the District Attorney to execute agreements with\nschool districts in the County for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 and in the future, to\nallow district schools to participate in the District Attorney’s Office (LADA)\nProject Legal Enrichment and Decision-Making Program (Project LEAD) and\nfor LADA to reimburse school districts for transportation costs for students to\ntravel to field trips as part of Project LEAD, provided funding is available, with\nthe Net County Cost of this program for field trip transportation included in\nLADA’s budget for FY 2023-24 and not to exceed $50,000, with funding for\nfuture years will be included in the LADA’s budget; and authorize the District\nAttorney to take the following actions: (District Attorney) APPROVE\nExecute amendments to the agreements to extend, increase or decrease\nfunding, update or change provisions, and terminate for convenience, if\nnecessary; and\nIncrease or decrease the program budget and determine the\nreimbursement amount per field trip in any given fiscal year to assist\nschools in the cost of transportation service, provided that sufficient\nfunding is included in LADA’s budget; and make changes to the\nagreement template.
