Interim Transportation Plan for People Who Are Incarcerated in the Los\nAngeles County Jails\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Solis: Request the Sheriff, and\ndirect the Chief Executive Officer and the Interim Director of Internal Services,\nto develop an interim feasibility and implementation plan, including funding, to\naddress the shortage of buses and other forms of transportation; and report\nback to the Board in writing in 45 days with options, such as using assets from\nneighboring counties and requesting the California Department of Corrections\nand Rehabilitation, in the interim, to be responsible for the pick-up and\ntransportation to and from their State prisons to the County jails.
