1. Revised roundabout analysis: Upon review of the 90% submittal, staff directed the consultant to conduct a study to analyze revising the design from a traditional roundabout to a mini-roundabout. The traditional roundabout will require the installation of retaining walls along the southerly limit of the Project (into the hillside). To potentially reduce the size of the retaining walls and lower construction costs, the design team analyzed a smaller roundabout. Ultimately, the analysis determined that the smaller roundabout would not provide substantial construction savings.
