6.1 SELECTION OF GATEWAY VILLAGE PROJECT\nDEVELOPMENT PARTNER, DECLARING GATEWAY\nVILLAGE LAND AS EXEMPT SURPLUS FOR\nSURPLUS LAND ACT PURPOSES, AND APPROVAL\nOF UPDATED IRVINE RANCH CONSERVANCY\nCOOPERATIVE AGREEMENT\nACTION:\n1) Authorize the City Manager to negotiate an Exclusive\nNegotiating Agreement with Brookfield Residential for\nthe purchase and development of the Gateway\nResidential Village.\n2) Adopt - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL\nOF THE CITY OF IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING\nGATEWAY RESIDENTIAL PARCEL AS EXEMPT\nSURPLUS LAND PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT\nCODE SECTIONS 54221(f)(1)(G)\n3) Authorize staff to enter into a cooperative agreement\nwith the Irvine Ranch Conservancy to develop plans\nand manage open space.\n4) Authorize City Manager to develop and execute a\nlease agreement with the Irvine Ranch Conservancy for\nthe Native Seed Farm site in the Gateway Preserve.\n6.1
