CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 24-139,\nAPPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AWARDING A\nCONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT TO CALPROMAX ENGINEERING, INC.\nFOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT LEE AVE & GARVEY\nAVE AND DURFEE AVE & PECK RD (HSIPL-5352(021))\nOn February 20, 2024, the Engineering Department solicited bids for the\nTraffic Signal Improvements at Lee Ave & Garvey Ave and Durfee Ave &\nPeck Rd. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by Calpromax\nEngineering, Inc. in the amount of $437,390.00.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Approve the plans and specifications for the Traffic Signal\nImprovements at Lee Ave & Garvey Ave and Durfee Ave & Peck Rd.\nProject;\n2. Review the bids and find that Calpromax Engineering, Inc. has\nsubmitted the lowest responsive bid;\n3. Adopt Resolution No. 24-139, approving plans and specifications and\nawarding the Traffic Signal Improvements at Lee Ave & Garvey Ave\nand Durfee Ave & Peck Rd Project contract to Calpromax Engineering,\nInc. in the amount of $437,390.00;\n4. Approve a 15% contingency amount of $65,608.50 for a total project\nconstruction budget amount not to exceed $502,998.50; and\n5. Authorize the City Manager or designee to negotiate and execute the\ncontract.
