6.B. REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE 2024 RUSSIAN-\nSPEAKING COMMUNITY CULTURAL HERITAGE MONTH [J.\nHEILMAN, C. BYERS, Y. QUARKER, A. LOVANO]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider allocating additional funding to\nthe Russian-Speaking Community Cultural Heritage Month programming.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve increasing the Russian-Speaking\nCommunity Cultural Heritage Month annual budget by $40,000 from\n$67,500 to $107,500 for the “WeHo Mishka” Annual Festival and Classical\nMusic Night with Russian-Speaking Community Awards Presentation; 2)\nAuthorize the Director of Finance and Technology Services to allocate\n$40,000 from unallocated General Fund reserves to the Russian\nCommunity Events account 100-3-50-15-535012 for costs associated with\nthe “WeHo Mishka” Annual Festival; and 3) Direct staff to maintain the\nincreased level of funding ($107,500) for future budget cycles.
