Recommendation for Council action: INSTRUCT the Personnel Department to report to the Personnel and Hiring Committee on: a. Attrition levels for civilian positions across all Departments b. How turnover has impacted service delivery c. Whether there are adequate resources within the Department to address Citywide attrition while also prioritizing the filling of new position authorities to meet Citywide Department hiring needs. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
