(24) 26-0882 CD 5 PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT relative to designating the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Highland Avenue as “Nancy Silverton Square" Recommendations for Council action, as initiated by Motion (Yaroslavsky – Jurado, Rodriguez): 1. RECOGNIZE Nancy Silverton's enormous contribution to the local culinary industry, her promotion of California cuisine around the world, her support of up-and-coming chefs, and her philanthropic work by designating the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Highland Avenue as “Nancy Silverton Square" in her honor. 2. DIRECT the Department of Transportation, with the assistance of other City departments, as needed, and in consultation with Council District Five, to design and install the appropriate sign(s) at this location to implement the above action. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
