(12) 26-1014 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ATTORNEY and ORDINANCE FIRST CONSIDERATION relative to repealing Section 55.14 of Article 5, Chapter V of the Los Angeles Municipal Code; and the case entitled District Court Case No. 2:26-cv-06003. Possible Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE, dated August 27, 2026, repealing Section 55.14 of Article 5, Chapter V of the LAMC. [The City Council may recess to Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1), to confer with its legal counsel relative to the case entitled Thomas Lopez, et al. v. City of Los Angeles, et al., United States District Court Case No. 2:26- cv-06003.
