(16) 10-1078-S3 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to the Fourth Amendment with Digitech Computer, LLC for emergency medical billing and collection services. Recommendations for Council action: 1. AUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), or designee, to execute the Fourth Amended and Restated Agreement to Contract No. C-118005 between the Los Angeles Fire Department and Digitech Computer, LLC, for emergency medical billing and collection services for a three- year term beginning October 22, 2025 through October 21, 2028. 2. INSTRUCT the Fire Chief, LAFD, or designee, to include the most recent updated Standard Provisions for City Contracts (Rev. 5/26 [v.1]) as part of the Agreement Documents. Fiscal Impact Statement: The City Administrative Officer reports that there is no additional impact to the General Fund. Digitech will receive a Base Fee of 5.1 percent of net collections, estimated at $9.84 million annually or $29.53 million over the three-year term, funded through the Los Angeles Fire Department's 2026-27 Contractual Services Account. Financial Policies Statement: The City Administrative Officer reports that the recommendations comply with the City's Financial Policies in that current operations will be funded by current revenues.
