(14) 26-0645 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to requesting the City Attorney to prepare and present an ordinance amending Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 41.70.3, or any other relevant sections, to authorize the 30-day impound of vehicles used in the commission or attempted commission of illegal dumping offenses. Recommendations for Council action, as initiated by Motion (Lee - Park), AS AMENDED: 1. REQUEST the City Attorney to prepare and present an ordinance amending Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 41.70.3, or any other relevant sections, to authorize the 30-day impound of any vehicle used in the commission or attempted Angeles, as provided for in California Vehicle Code Section 22659.5. . 2. REQUEST the City Attorney to report on any changes to State law, if any, since 2010, that would no longer authorize City enforcement officers to place impound holds on vehicles used by illegal dumping violators with prior convictions. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
