40. Department of the Army United States Army Corps of Engineers Contract Recommendation: Authorize the Sheriff, as an agent for the County, to execute a Firm Fixed Price contract with the Department of the Army, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), for a maximum term of 66 months and a total contract amount not to exceed $10,300,000, for the provision of Whittier Narrows Law Enforcement Officer Services (WNLEO Services) within the Whittier Narrows Dam and Flood Control Basin. Authorize the Sheriff to take the following actions: (Sheriff’s Department) APPROVE Execute any and all amendments to the contract that are necessary to ensure the effective participation in the WNLEO Services. Execute all required contract documents with the Department of the Army, USACE, including, but not limited to, memoranda of understandings, cost reimbursement agreements, agreements, assurances and certifications, amendments, modifications, extensions, and payment requests, in future fiscal years as necessary for the continued participation in the WNLEO Services.
