35. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH LOS ANGELES COUNTY CONSERVATION CORPS, FOR WEED ABATEMENT, REMOVAL OF MISCELLANEOUS DEBRIS, WITHIN THE CITY’S RIGHT OF WAY (CITY COUNCIL) RECOMMENDED ACTION — 1. APPROVE the proposed Amendment No. 2 to the Contract Services Agreement between the City of Carson and the Los Angeles Conservation Corps to extend the contract term by one additional year and increase the contract amount by $433,379.89, resulting in a total not-to- exceed contract amount of $1,300,139.67; and, — 2. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute Amendment No. 2, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY (Item 36) Public testimony is restricted to three minutes per speaker, speaking once (excepting applicants who are afforded a right of rebuttal, if desired), unless extended by order of the Mayor with the approval of the City Council.
