7. Creation of Limited-Term Senior Engineer Classification; Adopt Resolution No. 2026-020 Amending the City’s Comprehensive Salary Schedule in Accordance with CalPERS Established Guidelines; and Adopt Resolution No. 2026-021 Approving a Side Letter Agreement with City Employee’s Association (CEA) It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Approve the new title of Senior Engineer - Limited Term. 2. Approve and adopt Resolution No. 2026-020 amending the City of Baldwin Park’s Comprehensive Salary Schedule adopted by Resolution 2024-036, to update job titles for the above referenced job classifications. 3. Approve the classification specification for the Senior Engineer - Limited Term position. 4. Approve and adopt Resolution No. 2026-021 entering into a Side Letter (Exhibit ‘A’) with the City Employees’ Association (CEA), defining the agreement reached relative to the creation of the Senior Engineer - Limited Term classification. 5. Authorize the amendment of the Public Works Department budget to include the addition of one (1) Senior Engineer - Limited Term for fiscal year 2026-2027 which shall be extended to fiscal year 2027-2028. 6. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer or designee to recruit for and fill the position. 7. Authorize the Director of Finance to make the appropriation and necessary budget adjustments.
