(3) 17-1446-S4 CD 11 ADMINISTRATIVE EXEMPTION and TRADE, TRAVEL AND TOURISM COMMITTEE REPORT relative to a proposed contract with Solar Turbines Incorporated for service, maintenance, and repairs for two Mercury 50 gas turbines at the Central Utility Plant at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Recommendations for Council action: 1. CONCUR with the Board of Airport Commissioners’ adoption of staff’s determination that the item is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2(f) of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines. 2. APPROVE a five-year contract with Solar Turbines Incorporated covering service, maintenance, and repairs for two Mercury 50 gas turbines located at the Central Utility Plant at Los Angeles International Airport, for a cost not to exceed $16,000,000. 3. AUTHORIZE the Los Angeles World Airports Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said contract with Solar Turbines Incorporated. Fiscal Impact Statement: The Board of Airport Commissioners reports that there is no impact to the General Fund. Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
