MOTION (PADILLA - PRICE) and RESOLUTIONS relative to
Proposition 1 Round 2 Integrated Regional Water Management
Implementation Grant Funds from the State of California Department
of Water Resources, through a Memorandum of Understanding with
the Los Angeles County Flood Control District, for the North Sepulveda
Pedestrian Island Project.
Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL
OF THE MAYOR:
1. ADOPT the accompanying RESOLUTION 1, authorizing the
Director and General Manager of the Bureau of Sanitation or
designee, to negotiate, accept, execute, and submit all
documents, including, but not limited to applications,
agreements, amendments, time extensions, payment requests,
etc., subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and
legality, which may be necessary to secure an award of
Proposition 1 Round 2 Integrated Regional Water Management
Implementation Grant Funds pursuant to the Water Quality,
Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 (Water
Code ยง 79700 et seq.), in the amount not to exceed $1,000,000,
from the State of California Department of Water Resources,
through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Los Angeles
County Flood Control District, for the North Sepulveda
Pedestrian Island Project.
2. ADOPT the accompanying RESOLUTION 2, as required by the
Los Angeles County Flood Control District, adopting the 2017
Updated Greater Los Angeles County Region Integrated
Regional Water Management Plan.
3. AUTHORIZE the Controller to accept funds in the amount of
$1,000,000 from the Los Angeles County Flood Control District
and deposit into Fund 60W (Measure W Safe Clean Water
Municipal Program Special Fund), Department No. 50,
Departmental Revenue Source Code 336104 (Other State
Grants - Miscellaneous Programs).
4. AUTHORIZE an increase in the appropriation of Fund No.
60W/50, Appropriation Unit No. 50EX66 (Regional Project
Development and Revolving Fund) in the amount of
$1,000,000.
5. AUTHORIZE the Bureau of Sanitation, subject to approval of
the City Administrative Officer, to prepare Controller instructions
for any technical adjustments to comply with the intent of the
Council actions; and, AUTHORIZE the Controller to implement
the instructions.
