(5) 24-0751 CD 14 ARTS, PARKS, LIBRARIES, AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to renaming Pershing Square, located at 532 South Olive Street, to “Biddy Mason Park”. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Jurado - Hutt): INSTRUCT the Department of Recreation and Parks and REQUEST the Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners to rename Pershing Square, located at 532 South Olive Street, to “Biddy Mason Park” in recognition of Biddy Mason’s extraordinary contributions to the founding and development of the City of Los Angeles (City), and in honor of a woman whose generosity and vision helped shape the City into what it is today. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
