(84) 26-1303 The City Council may recess to Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1), to confer with its legal counsel relative to the case entitled Randy Rangel v. City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. 22STCV34806; Court of Appeal Case No. B348923. (This matter arises from a complaint of whistleblower retaliation under California Labor Code Section 1102.5 and violations of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act against the City.) (The Budget and Finance Committee considered the above matter in Open Session on September 15, 2026.)
