(23) 23-1408-S1 MOTION (RAMAN - SOTO-MARTINEZ) relative to amending prior Council Action of April 21, 2026, relative to Motion (Raman - Nazarian) to grant funding for the Studio City/Beeman Recreation Center Capital Improvement Project (Council file No. 23-1408-S1). Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: AMEND prior Council Action of April 21, 2026 , relative to Motion (Raman - Nazarian) to grant funding for the Studio City/Beeman Recreation Center Capital Improvement Project (Council file No. 23- 1408-S1) to ADOPT the following in lieu of Recommendation 1 on the April 21, 2026 Council agenda with the changes indicated below in order to allow the grant funding to be used to support all construction costs and not solely construction contingencies: AUTHORIZE that the Bureau of Engineering to accept and deposit $3,000,000 in grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Studio City/Beeman Recreation Center Capital Improvement Project into the Engineering Special Services Fund No. 682/50 and appropriate a like amount therein to a new account entitled “Studio City Beeman Recreational Center Capital Improvement Project” for disbursement to fund the construction contingency costs and pay related project invoices in accordance with the executed Grant Agreement with HUD.
