A. Request of Councilmembers Zwick, Torosis, and Davis that the City Council allocate a total of\n$10,000 from its Discretionary Fund to support our city’s public libraries. Specifically, the funds will\nsupport programming around the Pico Branch’s 10th Anniversary Celebration on June 29, which will\ninclude oral history kits for community members and organizations to check out and record their\npersonal stories, as well as programming and after-hours staff support for the Main Library’s special\nFriday preview event to Yallwest, the teen book festival at Samohi, and book giveaways, library\nactivities, storytellers, and performers at the Arts & Literacy Festival on April 27.\nStaff Report Printout\na.
