These grant awards do not require a local match.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: 2, 8.\nProposed Actions:\n(R-2024-443)\nResolution authorizing the Mayor, or designee, to make applications to U.S. Department\nof Housing and Urban Development and take all necessary actions to secure funding in an\namount not-to-exceed $1,500,000 in Fund CIP A-IH.00002, Street Light Circuit Upgrades\n(B-24122) to support design and construction for the Logan Ave Series Circuit\nConversion project; and\nAuthorizing the Chief Financial Officer to increase the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget, and to\naccept, appropriate and expend an amount not-to-exceed $1,500,000, for the purpose of\ndesign and construction for the Logan Ave Series Circuit Conversion project, contingent\nupon receipt of a fully executed Grant Agreement if the Grant funding is secured; and\nAuthorizing the Mayor, or designee, to make applications to U.S. Department of Housing\nand Urban Development and take all necessary actions to secure funding in an amount\nnot-to-exceed $2,000,000 in CIP A-IH.00002, Street Light Circuit Upgrades (B-24123) to\nsupport design and construction for the Garnet Ave Series Circuit Conversion project; and\nAuthorizing the Chief Financial Officer to increase the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget, and to\naccept, appropriate and expend an amount not-to-exceed $2,000,000, for the purpose of\ndesign and construction for the Logan Ave Series Circuit Conversion project, contingent\nupon receipt of a fully executed Grant Agreement if the Grant funding is secured; and\nCommittee Actions Taken:\nThis item was heard at the Active Transportation and Infrastructure Committee meeting\non March 7, 2024.\nACTION: Motion by Committee Member von Wilpert, second by Vice Chair LaCava, to\nrecommend Council approval of staff’s proposed actions.\nVOTE: 4-0; Whitburn-yea, LaCava-yea, Lee-yea, von Wilpert-yea.\nTransportation Department: Patrick Hadley, (619) 527-7504\nCity Attorney Contact: Dominic Mark Guglielmo
