39. Fiscal Year 2023 Emergency Management Performance Grant Program\nFunds\nRecommendation: Accept $2,076,678 in funding for the Fiscal Year 2023\nEmergency Management Performance Grant Program as distributed through\nthe California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, to be used to support\ncomprehensive emergency management activities at the local levels and to\nencourage the improvement of preparedness, response, recovery, and\nmitigation capabilities for all hazards and disasters, with a performance period\nof July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025, and the allocation of a portion of such\nfunds to the County’s Chief Executive Office - Office of Emergency\nManagement in the amount of $692,157, to support County emergency\npreparedness and response activities; authorize the Chief Executive Officer to\nenter into subrecipient agreements with Disaster Management Areas providing\nfor use and reallocation of funds, and to execute all future amendments,\nmodifications, extensions, and augmentations relative to the subrecipient\nagreements, as necessary; and find that the proposed actions are either not a\nproject or are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
