Proclaiming “Home Visiting Day” 2024 in Los Angeles County\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Solis and Hahn: Proclaim April\n19, 2024 as “Home Visiting Day” throughout Los Angeles County, the Los\nAngeles County Perinatal and Early Childhood Home Visitation Consortium\n(Consortium) encourages all residents to recognize the incredibly positive\nimpact that home visiting can have on child development, parenting, and overall\nhealth outcomes, and encourage all expectant and parenting families to visit the\ne-Directory to learn more about which home visiting service is best suited for\nthem, and encourage referrals through the e-Directory; and instruct all County\nDepartments, particularly the Departments of Public Health, Children and\nFamily Services, Health Services, Mental Health, and Public Social Services, to\nuse outreach materials developed by the Consortium and the Department of\nPublic Health, to provide clients with home visiting information and assist with\nclient referrals to home visiting programs.
