San Fernando Valley Area Plan Contract\nRecommendation: Approve and instruct the Chair to sign a four year contract\nwith Rangwala Associates, to prepare the San Fernando Valley Area Plan (3\nand 5), effective the day after the Board’s approval, with two six-month renewal\noptions, at a maximum contract amount of $500,000; authorize the Director of\nRegional Planning to approve and execute amendments to incorporate\nnecessary changes to the contract that do not significantly affect the scope of\nwork, exceed the maximum contract amount of $500,000, or change the term of\nthe contract, and to suspend work, if, in the opinion of the Director, it is in the\nbest interest of the County to do so; and find that the contract is exempt from\nthe California Environmental Quality Act.
