County of Los\nAngeles, et al.\nLos Angeles County Contract Cities Liability Trust Fund Claims Board's\nrecommendation: Authorize settlement of the matter entitled, Isaias Cervantes,\net al. v. County of Los Angeles, et al., Los Angeles Superior Court Case No.\n21STCV29317 in the amount of $25,000,000, and instruct the Auditor-\nController to draw a warrant to implement this settlement from the Sheriff's\nDepartment Contract Cities Trust Fund's budget.\nThis lawsuit concerns allegations of civil rights violations, excessive force, and\nwrongful death shooting by Sheriff's Deputies.
