60. On-Call Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Water Treatment\nMaintenance Services Contract\nRecommendation: Award a contract to EMCOR Services Mesa Energy, for\non-call heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and water treatment maintenance\nservices at the Department of Public Works Headquarters complex, in the City\nof Alhambra (1), for a period of one year with four one-year and six\nmonth-to-month extension options for a maximum potential contract term of 66\nmonths and a maximum potential contract amount of $2,486,501.60; find that\nthe contract work is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act; and\nauthorize the Director of Public Works to take the following actions:\n(Department of Public Works) APPROVE\nExecute the contract to renew the contract for each additional renewal\noption and extension period if, in the opinion of the Director, the\ncontractor, has successfully performed during the previous contract\nperiod, and these services are still required, approve and execute\namendments to incorporate necessary changes within the scope of work,\nsuspend and/or terminate the contract for convenience; and\nAnnually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of the\nannual contract amount, which is included in the maximum potential\ncontract amount for unforeseen additional work within the scope of the\ncontract, if required, and to adjust the annual contract amount for each\noption year over the term of the contract to allow for an annual Cost of\nLiving adjustment in accordance with County policy and the terms of the\ncontract.
