3-H. EMERGENCY REPAIR OF WATER MAIN ON LA MERCED ROAD – ADOPT A RESOLUTION\nAUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACT WITH\nW.A. RASIC WITHOUT THE NEED FOR COMPETITIVE BIDDING TO COMPLETE\nEMERGENCY WATER MAIN REPAIRS\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Adopting a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Public Works contract\nwith W.A. Rasic Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $75,000, without the need\nfor competitive bidding to complete emergency repairs of the water main on La Merced\nRoad;\n(2) Appropriating $75,000 from the Water Operation Fund for the cost of the repair work; and\n(3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.\nCEQA (California Environmental Quality Act):\nSince the proposed work is a minor alteration to an existing public facility, this project is Class 1\nCategorically Exempt pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).\n[4.] PUBLIC HEARING
