WATSON]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider adopting a resolution in support\nof the California Right to Marry and Repeal Proposition 8 Amendment\nballot initiative, which will appear on the November 5, 2024 General\nElection ballot.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Adopt Resolution No. 24-________: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST\nHOLLYWOOD IN SUPPORT OF THE CALIFORNIA RIGHT TO MARRY\nAND REPEAL PROPOSITION 8 AMENDMENT BALLOT INITIATIVE”;\nand 2) Direct staff to send copies of the adopted resolution to California\nGovernor Gavin Newsom, California State Senator Ben Allen, California\nAssembly Member Rick Chavez Zbur, and others as deemed appropriate.
