18. AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, K.C.\nRESTORATION CO., INC., FOR THE GREYSTONE POOL HOUSE\nRESTORATION AND WATERPROOFING PROJECT; AND\nAPPROVAL OF A CORRESPONDING PURCHASE ORDER IN THE NOT-TO-\nEXCEED AMOUNT OF $ 2,064,801; AND\nAPPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR WITH RESPECT\nTO DESIGN CRITERIA.\nComment: Staff recommends that City Council: (1) Approve the award of a contract\nto the lowest responsible bidder, K.C. Restoration, Inc. for the Greystone Pool\nHouse Restoration and Waterproofing Project in the amount of $1,795,479; and (2)\nApprove a construction contingency in the amount of $269,322 (15%); and (3)\nApprove a purchase order to K.C. Restoration Co., Inc. in the not-to-exceed amount\nof $2,064,801; and (4) Approve the plans and specifications as detailed in the bid\ndocuments, which are adopted and approved with respect to design criteria; and (5)\nConsider finding the project exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
